Opening Your Account in
5 Simple Steps

Opening an account with Vitessa Vault is straightforward and secure.

Follow our simple 5-step process to get your safe deposit box, vaulted safe, or document storage solution set up quickly. 

Step 1. Can I Open an Account Without an Appointment?

Ideally we would ask that you book an appointment to open a new account. 

This would enable us to allocate a member of staff specifically to you, to ensure you are well looked after on a one-to-one basis throughout the agreement process. 

We recommend all prospective clients to book an appointment in advance by calling our centre or visiting us during opening hours. 

Alternatively, we do welcome walk-ins during our operating hours, 6 days a week.

Step 2. Get the Right Size Box

Before you decide on which size box you will need, gather all the valuables you plan to store inside the box. Ask yourself whether you are likely to put more in the box as time goes by and try to estimate extra space you may need at a later date. 

Our safe deposit boxes are available for inspection in our reception when you visit our centre in Oakwood, North London.

Consider our boxes are long, measuring 520mm in depth, with various heights and widths. You may be able to fit more into a smaller box than you first anticipated. 

For larger storage needs, consider our vaulted safes or document safe storage solutions if you require.

Step 3. Application Form

Complete our account opening form. Please bring one form of photograph identification and one proof of address from the list below.  Two people per account are allowed and will need to provide one proof of identity and one proof of address from the list below:  Photo ID 
  • Current signed passport 
  • UK driving licence (photo card driving licence) 
  • Non-UK nationals must provide a passport with a valid visa

  • Bank, credit card, or mortgage statement (dated within the last three months) 
  • Utility bill: gas, electric, or water (dated within the last three months) 
  • Council tax (dated within the last six months)

Step 4. Biometrics

Your fingerprints and face image will be taken on registration upon receiving payment. Two keys will be provided for your safe deposit box. These are the only copies for your box and we do not keep any customer copies. 

Keep your keys safe. You will need 1 key to access your box, along with our vault key, for the dual-key security system. 

Your biometric data becomes part of our advanced access control system, providing additional security for your stored valuables. 

Step 5. Know What You Have in Your Box

We strongly recommend you keep a detailed inventory (including photographs) and valuation to comply with the terms and conditions of your insurance policy. 

This inventory should be kept separate from your stored items and updated whenever you add or remove items from your storage.
